Simply Christians. Just as the Bible describes.
What is the church of Christ?
The word “church” is from the compound Greek word, ekklesia, found in the Bible. The prefix ek means “out of,” and the root kaleo means “to call or summon.” Hence, the “church” is a called out body of people. In ancient Greece it had reference to a select civic group summoned to deliberate upon public welfare. Relative to this, Jesus calls men and women into one body to demonstrate and declare His moral excellence for the betterment of humanity (Matthew 16:18; 1 Peter 2:9).
The Christian System
Faith
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
- Hebrews 11:6
Hope
“…according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgement of the truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began…”
-Titus 1:1-2
Love
“Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
-Matthew 22:37-39
